I saw this on Instagram a while back, and I really resonated with it.

When I heard that misunderstandings and distancing in all relationships stem from "unexpressed expectations", it struck a chord with me. 

 

It seems like in a marriage, it's important to continuously express both likes and dislikes in a gentle manner. 

 

I thought my husband would like it, so I did it, but when he didn't, it was quite confusing and disappointing.
